Leather Tool Bag

Just taken delivery of this rather nice leather tool bag which I won on eBay after some heated last-minute bidding.

I've been slathering on some Oakwood Leather Conditioner as it was dry and hard. The conditioner is an Australian product and contains Tea Tree and Eucalyptus oils, Emu oil, Beeswax and Lanolin.
It has large EDF letters stamped into it and I think it's a French electrician's bag as this stands for √Člectricit√© de France.  Should be able to adapt it to hold some Bodger's tools, spoon knives, drills etc.

Oh I do like that! What a find. My problem would be wanting to put all my tools in it and keep them there. How on earth did you find that on eBay? What were you searching for?

Vanessa is the eBay fiend and she reckons she put "old leather toolbag" into the search.

Nice,
I use neatsfoot oil to soften leather - smells interesting but works.

The logo picture for this blog is a tree trunk, isn't it? Lovely bag, so much oriented inside of it.
